Set in the heart of the Regional Nature Park of the Vallée de Chevreuse, 35 km from Paris and 20 km from Versailles, the Château de Breteuil is beautifully furnished.
Built in 1604-1610 on the site of a medieval fortress, the château has belonged to the Breteuil family for over three centuries.
The family’s history, which is closely linked to French history, is brought back to life by 50 waxwork figures from the Musée Grévin.
Seven of Charles Perrault’s Fairy Tales are displayed in the outbuildings.
In the 300 acres Park, you will find the Remarkable Trees Walk, several Gardens, a Maze, a playground and picnic areas.
Open all year round. Information at Breteuil website
